EDvance College collaborates with community-based early childhood programs as Employer Partners to recruit, guide, and graduate students. This partnership creates structured pathways, allowing students to earn college credit for work experience, enhancing the relevance of their education to their careers. Together, we support student degree completion and professional growth, building a skilled workforce to advance early childhood education.
Employer Partners are an integral part of making higher education attainable for working educators. An EDvance Employer Partner is a licensed early childhood program serving children ages 0-5, which may include:
A publicly-funded/subsidized school district
CDE/CDSS: General Child Care and Development (CCTR) or California State Preschool Program (CSPP)
Head Start/Early Head Start agency
A Family Child Care Provider Association/Network
County Office of Education
Regardless of the type of program, EDvance Employer Partners share an interest in supporting the development of their existing ECE workforce in degree attainment as well as creating new opportunities for those wishing to enter the field.
Employer Partners commit to ensuring that educators work a minimum of 15 hours per week for 15 consecutive weeks while enrolled in EDvance College and work with EDvance staff to ensure student success.
